Ducati 900ss bevel titanium front wheel spindle
As we all know Ducati are my bestest ever bikes, and the original wire wheeled 900ss bevels are absolutely my favourite, i used to have one from 1977. they are unreliable, finicky, moody, need constant attention even whist riding, and blow up every 20k costing thousands to repair, thats my kind of girl! but boy when they are working well and you ride as hard as you can they just get better and better….
anyway i think this is the first part i’ve made for one, (they are very rare these days since the Germans and Japanese bought them all to store in hermetically sealed jam jars never to be seen again) its a titanium front wheel spindle with a 7075 alloy nut, slightly modified from original i’ve upped the thread size to 20mm so it will take a big hole all the way through and reduced the thickness of the nut from 15 down to 10mm. And i’ve put a socket in the head rather than the extended part with 2 flats, its lighter my way and looks a shed load better i think.
