I’m now offering the R1 oil cooler bolt and connector in 7075 alloy. These are hot off the machines so haven’t been anodised yet. As you can see it doesn’t weigh much compared to the original which weighs 147g – 106g lighter! In titanium it weighs 62g. And the oil line connector: the original weighs 47g, so 30g lighter. […]

They are for a mini clutch, the original had M5 c/s screws with a very slim nut on the back, i’ve modified the back plate by tapping it out to M6 and made new titanium screws to replace the M5’s. Now that i’m confident that 7075 alloy makes good nuts i reccomend them. Here’s a titanium rear wheel spindle for a Triumph with 7075 nuts.
I did this set of disc and caliper bolts last week. Since then i’ve done a shed load of 7075 alloy fastners but forgot to photo them before i posted them not half and hour ago!
