Yamaha R1 titanium rear axle and engine mounting bolts

Here’s a titanium rear wheel spindle and engine mounting bolts for a Yamaha R1. These big rear axles take some making in titanium, turning them is usually ok as there tends not to be too much deflection given the shaft diameter, but boring them is back breaking, they have to be drilled 23mm all from one end due to the thread diameter. I don’t pilot drill them first as the smaller the drill the more likely it is to wander, so they are drilled full diameter in one go, normally a good 4 hours fun!
