Aprilia RS250 titanium rear wheel spindle and 7075 alloy nut
Here’s a titanium rear wheel axle for an Aprilia RS250, with a 7075 alloy nut. On this one i made the head separatley and screwed and locktited it on. I don’t often do that as it doesn’t usually work out any more economical but in this case it did. There is no harm in doing it this way, it still makes for a good strong spindle, but you can see a ring on the head where the shaft ends which from an aesthetic point of view isn’t quite as pleasing as one made from solid, not that it will be noticed particularly when fitted to the bike.
