Recently made a load of Lignum Vitae feet for hi-fi systems, they were highly engineered to very tight tollerences, which was an odd thing to do with wood, but Lignum is magic wood and turns almost like metal. The feet have titanium spikes on the bottom which sit on these pucks. This is the underside of the pucks, the spike […]
HPS Ltd have sold all the titanium sprocket drive pins they offer as an optional upgrade when they sell a set of BST wheels, so i’ve made them some more…..
Here’s a set of Suzuki GSXR 1000 K6 clutch cable adjusters to go with the throttle cable adjusters i made before. Despite the simplicity small things like this are always difficult to make, its all the fiddling about turning both ends with never quite enough room to safely cut them without crashing the tool into the chuck. i managed though, […]
These are throttle cable holders and adjusters for a Suzuki GSXR 1000 K6. They are simple little things but fiddly to make. There are a lot more titanium parts for this bike waiting for me to make, but it will be a while before i can do them, i did these bits first so he can be having his cables […]
Those most excellent chaps at Davies Motorsport are building engines. These are titanium valve spring retainers for an extra whizzy engine. Titanium does make for a very strong yet light cap, just whats needed in a high performance engine, and the Davies Honda’s are some of the fastest around.
Here’s a set of titanium engine mounting bolts and 7075 alloy adjusters for a Kawasaki ZX7RR. They are a nice set to make but demand a high level of concentration to get the bolts concentric over the length. The alloy adjusters are coated with Surteck 650 for corrosion protection as once they are fitted they shouldn’t need disturbing again. [caption […]
This is a titanium wheel spindle and engine mounting bolt set i’ve just done for a Suzuki Turbo Bandit. The rear was a swine to drill, it had to be nearly all from one end as the shaft is 20mm dia with 18mm thread on the end, so it needed a smaller hole through the threads.
