Honda CBR 600 titanium wheel spindles

So after spending all last week on the Porche titanium brake system bolts and stuff, i needed to reset my head as i was nearly starting to hallucinate!

so i’ve made a pair of titanium Honda CBR 600 wheel spindles and 7075 alloy nuts. The original rear of course has a fixed flanged head, 32mm dia, so i’ve made this one as a straight shaft and locktited a 7075 alloy nut on one end. I was going to pin it as well but it was so beautiful i didn’t have the heart to whack a drill though the nut and then have some pin intruding into the hole down the centre. So i’m supplying it as it is and if there is any suggestion of the fixed nut coming undone i’ll pin it then.

The original bolt weighs 55g

The original nut weighs 44g

The original front spindle complete weighs 352g

The original rear spindle complete weighs 531g

So overall weight saving of 150g on the fornt, 264 on the rear so a total of 414g!
